My traction drive belt won’t stay on. I’m guessing due to too much play in the traction drive shaft. I’m hoping I can post a video and some pictures to show what I mean. With the drive pulley attached I can fairly easily get the pulley to cant 2-3 degrees in all directions. I have the keyed bushing out in the videos so the play is a bit more exaggerated than when the bushing is in place. Thanks in advanced for any help you can offer.

I think I got my answer. Flange bushing has opened up over the years due to wear. Deere parts diagram lists it as a part no longer being manufactured. Ariens part number 5512000 is an exact match in case anyone else is looking for it. I'll be tearing into it soon and get it replaced and hope for the best. Thanks

Considering that Deere was built by Ariens, it will keep it running just fine.

Well, the new part is in and it solved the problem. Old bushing was shot.
