Simplicity key won't turn machine off
I have a Simplicity 860SE with a Tecumseh HMSK80-155361S engine. The key doesn't work. Luckily, it must be in the on position, because I can start the blower. But, when I'm done using it, I lower the throttle and turn the key off, but it doesn't shut off. No big deal since I can turn it off with the throttle, but I'd like to fix it before it affects the the mower in the "on" position. All the connections seem to be ok. Any ideas? Thanks gang.

Switch is bad, the ground wire came off, or a poor ground. Lol underneath the cover for a loose wire, it attaches to the throttle. If it is, pull the cover off and check the ground with a impedance meter or clean the grounds.
