Ariens HydroPro 28 Chute problem

Hey everyone! The chute on my Ariens has very limited side to side range...seems to only go from hard left until about 11 o’clock. I wish I could post video of it, so first, how do I do that , and second, any thoughts on the problem at hand? Thanks!

IS the cable binding on something that could restrict the chute's movement ? That happened to my Toro after i re-assembled it.

If you take the cover off of the gearing that rotates the chute (located at the end of the control rod just behind the chute) you'll see a dot on each gear. The dots should be aligned. When the control lever is in the middle of the panel pointing straight up, the chute should also be aimed straight forward. The manual has instructions on how to adjust this provided it is the actual problem you are having. Should be a simple fix.
