Old craftsman

I have an old craftsman I got for $40. Problem is it will propel its self but once it gets resistance the wheels stop spinning. I’m just having a hard time finding model numbers for parts.

Stand it on the auger housing with the handles pointing up. Remove the bottom plate and clean the friction disk. Also the cable might need adjusting. There are a lot of youtube videos eg. donyboy

A photo or two of the machine would be a big help.

Here is a video on the friction disc. You should also check that it slides smoothly on the hex shaft. If not now would be a good time to clean it up and add a little lube to it.

Make sure the windows are up before the snow plow goes by !!
