MTD Wiring

I have an MTD snow blower with a Tecumseh engine. There are two green wires that I believe are related to the kill switch. One is attached to the throttle lever and the other one is attached to the safety key. In both cases, the other end is not connected to anything. I have looked everywhere to find out where these are suppose to connect.

Does anyone have any ideas?

They should both go to a stud mounted on the side of the shroud. The black wire from the coil should also be there.

On the throttle one wire will go to it and it should come from under the shroud as it's connected to the coil. The throttle will ground that wire through it's body to short out the coil and quit producing spark.
On the key one wire should also be coming from under the shroud attached to the coil, to the key and the other side of the key should be grounded somehow so when the key is pulled out the two metal contacts touch and complete a circuit to ground the coil and prevent it from producing spark.

Make sure the windows are up before the snow plow goes by !!
