Presumably you immediately checked the oil level?

Welcome to SBF Chimere. Possible head gasket leak or a hole in the muffler?

Without actually hearing or seeing your engine, no one could guarantee the engine will continue to run without problems. I wish you luck with the next storm since the noise could be nothing OR a major engine failure.

Is it a flathead? For a flathead (vs OHV), checking the valve clearances is still pretty straightforward, but adjusting the clearances is more involved.

Good luck! A video, if available, would be interesting.

I would try to take a video. I just blow another 12 inch of snow with no problem at all. It crazy the snow we got here but i tend to think the noise begin since i put the new oil, i put 5w30 synt dex 2 and the oil seem fairly liquid. It drop when i remove the dipstick.
