Aliens Electric Start Issue

I have an Ariens 920014 Compact 24 LE with an electric start that plugs into a 110V outlet with a push button to engage.
However, it now engages and starts the instant it is plugged in. No pushing of the rubber starter button required.

What to do to fix?

My guess is, you got a defective switch, if so, replace it.

sounds like the switch is stuck, That has a briggs engine so it may not be too bad to replace if you can't fix it. Could try and take the switch housing apart and see if there is anything obvious making it stick in the on position.

Sno-Tek Modded, 15"X-Track tires (Now has same X-Track tires but 13"x4" for better fit), 254cc engine LED light and hand warmers.
Snapper 6/22 sold but not forgotten. Was my first.
Ariens ST1027LE workhorse and going strong.
New 2017 Ariens Deluxe completely rebuilt after losing a fight with a forklift.
