Auger/Bucket interchange ....

Just curious, has anyone ever swapped an impeller auger assembly, or a complete bucket assembly from one brand to another?

For instance, putting an Ariens auger/bucket onto a Craftsman, etc ...?

Garage
It can be done, but custom brackets are probably needed as manufacturers like that you get parts from them only. If you look at my garage here on the board you will see the process I did to put a 36-inch Ariens bucket onto a Troy-Bilt tractor assembly. For somebody that is a welder / fabricator it is not an extremely hard project to tackle, but it can be very daunting for somebody that is not comfortable with cutting, grinding and welding.
