Can I get some advice on replacing my carb

I'm (along with a more skilled friend) are about to replace my 2017 Toro PowerMax 826 carb with a new Toro sourced carb. I managed to strip the main nozzle screw on the original .

I'd really appreciate any pointers or advice you could offer a rank novice for things to watch out for such as stupid mistakes made by guys like me etc. when:
1. dissassembling the covers to get at the carb
2. removal of the carb/components
3. carb set up
4. reassembly.

Thank you guys.

PS. I also got the 2 replacement gaskets. Do those go on dry?

take pics, especially of all the linkages

use a bowl to contain fasteners

if a gasket rips, replace it.

common sense torque on reassembly

Thank you tdipaul. Any rule of thumb type tips regarding first steps as to how to set up the fueling of a new carb?

are you referring to the fuel mixture adjustments?

If yes, would need to know what adjustment capability it has

have any pics of the carb?
