Craftsman Bucket Rebuild (cont.)

This is a Craftsman my neighbor gave me when he bought a new one.

He destroyed the auger gear case internals due to rust welded augers. Well, I finally got my auger shaft gear in and put that on, now waiting on the new impeller worm gear shaft, which as you can see, was damaged as well, chunk taken out if it. Started putting it back together.

I still have to straighten out the bent impeller fins, as it looks like he was blowing a pile of bricks.....

Ill be packing it with "00" grease upon reassemble ... already repainted most of the unit.

Good lesson to keep your augers well lubricated and free spinning on the shaft, allowing the shear bolts/pins to do there job.
