Bobcat Snow Thrower won't start

Snow thrower has a Briggs and Stratton engine. Coil is good but wondering about the wiring off the coil tab. Two wires are attached to tab on coil. One wire goes to control linkage, assume cut off, the other is a fine wire appears to go towards points area. There is another wire coming from points area which is heavier gage and was loose in the linkage area. Engine won't start and isn't getting spark. Any help would help. Just love this old Bob Cat Thrower!

A few suspects to start with: Open coil wiring (I know you said "good" but how did you verify?); shorted capacitor; defective wiring; weak flywheel magnets; issue with shut-off switch; improper ignition circuit wiring.

FWIW, it can sometimes be difficult to apply enough rotational speed by hand to generate primary voltage in the coil.

More detailed description might help.
