Ariens 1130DLE

This thing runs like absolute crap. Just idling it spits, chokes and **** near dies. If I throttle down it does die. This is AFTER I got it back from repair; they told me they cleaned the carb but it runs worse now than when I dropped it off! Can this be adjusted?

No....Carb's are non adjustable now...don't worry about idleing...worry about wide open throttle.....if it runs wide open...go with it...if not go back to the repair shop.

I would be bringing it right back to them.

But then again, if it was me, I repair all mine myself. I would just put a new carb on it only 12 to 15.00 .

As stated they should fix it or refund you
that being said if its the L head 358cc you can buy and adjustable carb for 12 bucks and should get one

One thing for sure, it didn't run like that when new.
This certainly sounds like a carb issue. But it could also be an ignition problem. Either of these you could spend hours on problem solving. That's why many of the handyman types on this board say 'just replace the carb': It's cheaper and easier.
But, if you prefer not to do it yourself, then, IMO, you should find another repair shop.
