B&S Carb problem

I have a leaf loader with a 10 HP B&S.The other day I noticed gas driping from fuel line connection on the carb. Ran out and bought piece of fuel hose, installed it and it still dripped, long story short, it was the plastic & brass fitting at the carb, Two lawn mower shops in town did not have it so I looked more closely at the carb, and I saw a couple u tube vids on how to fix it but I saw the boss on the carb that holds the fitting, and I saw that there was enough meat there to cut a 1/8" pipe thread there, So i bought a 1/8" street el, and a 1/8" X 1/4' hose fitting, installed them with thread locker and the machine runs great. Just passing it on.
