1965 7hp ariens.. 100/1 oil?

Hi guys-

Should I be adding oil to my gas?

Original 7hp Tecumseh. Starts good, runs good.

I'm figuring with the unleaded gas and non-hardened valves that a cap full of oil in the gas tank certainly wouldn't do it any harm.

I just don't want to be the one to ruin it after she lasted this long.

personally, if it lasted that long, id just run it as is.

running 100/1 might have a possibility of creating more carbon and could clog up valves and fouling spark plugs (rare, but do happen)

you could try some fuel treatment (ie stable 360 protect, k100) if it feels like its not preforming as it should (might have some crap in the carb, the fuel treatment should help clear it out)
