Tecumseh 5.5HP Throttle Issue

I'm new here, so pls bear with me. I replaced the Carb on my 5.5hp Craftsman/Tecumseh Engine snow blower. After reconnecting speed/throttle lever to governer with the skinny rod (in correct holes, I took pictures before), I realized that when moving the throttle lever, it only moves the governer arm minutely.

The throttle shaft of the carb does not sit against the idle speed screw when throttle is in the slowest setting.

I attached some pick for clarity.

Can anyone advise how to repair?

Thanks alot!

Photos will be very important here, but I think you have to have a certain number of posts before the system will allow you to attach photos (that's to deter spammers).

I'm not sure if just making a few more posts in this thread will do the trick but it might be worth a try...

First, you have to be sure you got all the rods and springs installed in the correct holes. Check your pictures.

Did you loosen any screws on the governor arm? If so, you will have to reset it. It's easy to do,
Taryl will show you how (he really does know what he's doing)

I think you have to have the engine running before the throttle will work right...the governor will keep it at full throttle until it is running.
