Snapper I 722 Discharge Chute

Where can I find a discharge chute for a Snapper I 722. Snapper does not seem to make it. Are there other brand chutes that fit the I 722. The used ones online seem to be markedly overpriced.

Also, is it possible to glue the old chute? What kind of adhesive would you suggest?

Thanks.

Is this a metal or plastic chute? cracked or what? can you post a pic or two? Without seeing I'll mention to make a sheet metal patch and pop rivet or use like machine screws and fender washers. I've done this by first cutting a thick paper pattern for the patch I need then transfer it onto the sheet metal then cut it out and form the metal to the shape you need.

Chuck,

Thanks for taking time to reply. The chute is a platsic chute. It is shattered near the base and does not seem to be repairable. It would seem that other chutes might fit it, i.e. MTD, but I haven't seen that information online.

I have had pretty good results with patching plastic components with sheet metal and rivets or small bolts with lock washers. If it’s a area that you can do this, make a pattern out of paper, transfer it to the sheet metal ant cut out. If this isn’t workable on your crack I hope ya make out finding a used piece.
