Briggs 1100 snow Series no control Governor

I need help yet again. I bought a 2 stage snow Blower off a guy call could not get it started because of the Plastic On/ off key was removed. He tore apart everything and try to put everything back together. Well he did a good job of putting everything back together except the throttle/governor linkage, he had it so jacked up that it would not move in places that it should’ve never been. I put it back To where I thought would be a good start but I have no control of the governor who wants to run 100% wide open even with the spring that adds tension to the different holes. I know I need to get a new spring that wraps through the control linkage, that is all jacked up but where do I find or how do I start to adjust the governor? It’s a great snowblower in great shape it just a guy had no clue what he was doing. Thanks again

Looks like the spring is hung up on the fixed point, left side of pic. Try sliding it over the T, so the spring moves freely around the anchor.....for starters.

It looks like the right end of the spring is in the wrong hole. It looks like it was in the hole I have the arrow at. And as stated above the other end is not installed correctly. To fine tune adjust the rpm's you can bend the tab the left side of the spring attaches to.

The new spring did come in yesterday and I installed this morning and I’m having the same issue, the engine is just running wide open. Any other thoughts?

You are going to need another spring to make the linkage work. I thought you were ordering the small spring as shown by the red arrow. Right now, without the spring, the governor is not being controlled. Your linkage on the right. Sorry, I don't know the part number.

I did an ebay search for "briggs governor spring" and found something similar

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Governor-Sp...IAAOSwrcReIdkW

I hope that helps you.
