Powermore Carb

Is there a preferred position for the bowl? The way the shallow end on a Tecumseh goes under the float pin. Somewhere i read 30 degrees but I don't remember from what. I ended up put the drain screw under the hinge.

You want it so the drain does not interfere with the travel of the float.

Garage
The shallow end goes under the float pin while the deeper part goes under the far end of the float as that is the part that drops further and needs the extra room.
