Won't start

I have been using the electric start as I've been to lazy to put in a new pull cord. I started mine and it ran for several minutes. Then smoke came from the engine and it stalled out. It has new oil and gas and it turns over but doesn't seem to catch anything. Wondering if there is a rod, valve problem.

Garage

Any chance you left the choke on full and it flooded and killed the engine ? If so the spark plug might be too wet to fire.
What snowblower are we talking about and what engine does it have ?

Make sure the windows are up before the snow plow goes by !!

Welcome!

Snowblower and Engine Year/Model would be helpful.

What do you mean by "doesn't want to catch anything?"
Is it turning over very freely...is that what you mean..as in no compression?
