HS35 engine bay find

Hello friends, I have a HS35 snow blower that I went through and while cleaning out the engine bay found a small black cap. It's maybe 1" dia. by 3/8" deep and has no threads. I thought it could possibly be from the carburetor but I could not remove the black panel that covers it. Those control knobs don't just pop off! Anywho, if anybody has a clue I would greatly appreciate a word about it. Please respond to [email protected].

Thank you in advance!
