Craftsman Part Needed

Hi there,

I have one of this old single stage Craftsman snowblowers. It’s just a single stage but it chugs along well. Even the electric start still works. Model number is C944 53324. Recently the part I call the clutch started slipping due to wear. There is a lever down near the drive shaft that engages it. I have photos. I have tried to find the part with no luck. Our local parts shop says it’s too old. New to this site so I apologize if this is not posted properly.

You may be able to locate a machine to buy for parts but finding a part is unlikely.

to SBF Pat

It helps a great deal to know where you are. Something you can add to your profile but going into the "User CP", upper right of the screen under the search box.

Since your model starts with a "C" I would guess it's Canadian so it's going to be hard for most of us (U.S.) to try and look it up.
Any chance you have a part number ? Photos would be a big help.

Make sure the windows are up before the snow plow goes by !!
