Toro Power Clear 621

Hello,

I have a Toro Power Clear 621 that I picked up, used, and have a question about it. I don't know how it was treated by the previous owner . . . I have been working to get it in "working order". When I run it, I get oil coming out of the breather tube? What could be causing this? Should the breather tube be connected to something at both ends? Or is one end supposed to be not connected to anything . . . I have the service manual for this snow blower, but it doesn't help!

Thanks,

FredSG

First, have you checked the oil, being over filled? If the float sticks open, it will fill the engine with gas. On some engines the breather tube will go to the housing the shield the opening of the carb. Look for a tube, if it has one.

Welcome to SBF Fred. It looks like your motor should have a rubber tube going from a nipple on the valve cover to a nipple on the back of the plastic carb\air cleaner cover.
As Motor City said, check your oil level, to full will push oil through the hose and if the oil smells like gas, the inlet needle IN the carb is leaking gas into the motor.
