Oil change for MTD SlowFlite 315-611E520

I need to change the oil on my dads old MTD 315-611E520 as its turned light grey is practically like water now. Im not sure which oil to use as I can't find the manual for it. Any help is appreciated!

Hello and welcome to the forum. Since you have water in the oil, you will be better to change the oil, let it run until the engine is hot and change the oil again. Since the snow blower is only used in cold weather, any 5w-30 weight oil should be used. For the final oil change, you could also put in 5w-30 synthetic oil if you want to. Just my opinion.

I just realized you said the oil was light grey. Water in the oil usually makes it look milky. Grey seems to indicate possible engine wear\damage?
