Wiring a HF 420 cc engine for lights on ariens

If you are swapping in a HF 420 cc engine with electric start how do you wire it so that your snow blower lights work? I know I need a battery.Could someone direct me to a schematic?
Is there a transformer and rectifier that is used on the 120v starting systems, or is it a totally different starting motor?

Welcome to the forum Lawrence, you should post this in the following link and read it will help you.
First you should try and see if there are wires coming from the engine which might indicate you have power from a stator, does it show on your manual?

Snow Removal Apparatus I own:
Ariens ST1530DLE, and good ole arm powered scrapper.
The 15 HP is a new Ducar engine sold
by Princess Auto in Canada.
