puzzled....

I have a Craftsman 7-24 snowblower 536-90560. Got it running but when I engage the drive gear it dies out. Cleaned the carb and it has a new spark plug. Hummm??? Suggestions?

Did you let it warm up for more than 5 seconds? Does it have a fuel filter?

Bearings and auger move freely?----Make sure to disconnect the plug wire before checking this!

Garage:
MTD....2 stage(modern 8.5 HP) not my favorite
Honda HS622 TA-B - acquired at an auction- nice machine for it's size.
Toro S-140- Picked it up on trash day... it runs, sort of.
Yamaha YS 240 TB "Ricky" latest Craigslist find- on the bench now.

This doesn't have an auger engage lever like this does it?
If the safety interlock wiring is working correctly, you have to be holding either handle lever with the auger engaged.
I just realized yours is a 536-90560 and mine is a 536-90570.
I'll bet thats it.
