Craftsman blower spilling snow to left

Hey guys bought a craftsman 536.886150 off someone last year for a pretty good price.

Having a problem, used it the first time the other day, snow seems to build up and spill to the front left and out onto the concrete.

It looks like the auger was previously replace. I figured the front left auger was replaced with a "right-side" auger by accident. It is my understanding the left auger & right auger are different parts. I took the auger off, flipped and re-drilled holes for the holding pin, figuring it would correct the issue.

No luck, snow still spills out left side.

I attached a video.

Also the blower does not move heavy/wet snow. Granted its an older model I figured it would. I have tried lubing the chute with PAM and corn oil, no luck.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes. the augers should be mirror images of each other. When they rotate they should draw snow to the center and up into the impeller, Not to the outside of the bucket.

Yes you can't just flip it. They are mirror image parts. It is like a right handed thread screw can't become a left hand thread by turning it end for end.

Try your local Craig's list and then Ebay. Sometimes people sell them as an assembly with the gear box. The gear box is the higher wear item. Too bad there are no bone yards for snow throwers. Maybe there are ,I just don't know of any.

Good Luck.

When looking at your thumbnail the left auger works ok and does need to be touched but your right auger is inversed as you probably know which is why you drilled the shear pin hole so if you just turn that auger around and the original shear pin hole should line up and will bring snow to the impeller. As for the wet snow problem, you must put an impeller kit such as this : SNOWBLOWER IMPELLER KIT
and or you can make one with baler belt and bolts.
Good Luck
