Husqvarna Electric Start

I have model 10527sbe snow blower. My electric start olny makes a screaming noise an the engine does not even try to start. I car start the machine by hand no problem.

Hi Rehurd
Welcome to the Forum. Sounds like the Bendix drive on you starter is sticking and failing to engage your flywheel "ring"gear. When you energize these starters, the starter gear is thrust forward to engage the teeth on the flywheel, thus turning over your engine. Upon release of the start button, the shaft retracts to its resting position. Over time, the lubrication on the shaft necessary for smooth operation dries out, and the shaft sticks. You may be able to add some lube without removing the starter, but generally, to do a thorough job, the starter motor must be removed and reinstalled. MH
