Itching to modify

Greetings to all here at SBF, my snow blower is ready for action but one thing is amiss with my Ariens 1130 chute turning apparatus.
It gets stuck when turned at the end of left side. I never liked the flimsy mechanics behind the turning action with the handle going side to side, even after applying plenty of fluid film at the base of the chute and the mechanism higher up.
I want to keep what is holding the chute from falling and install a car seat electric motor coupled with a steel cable wrap around the chute.
Now at that height the chute is open on one side so I am very open to suggestions on what to install so the steel cable won't slip downward and when spinning to turn the chute. I know this all might come across as confusing to picture in the mind.

Thanks all

Norm

This is what I call the flimsy part at the arrow end which the mechanical parts all work as they should but refuses to turn the chute when turned at left. Btw how does one stay subscribed when I return after a few days?

Thanks all

Is it possible that the square tube support is bent on insatalled too far to one side making the turning mechanism jam slightly?. I think I will start checking that.

Moderators, how does one stay logged in even after leaving site without logging off, it's a pain having to log in every time one leaves site for a day or two.

I'm not a moderator, Norm, but have you checked the little box that says "keep me logged in"? I'm never actually logged out but I can close the page completely and come back later and simply open it and I'm logged in. If that isn't working for you I'd check my settings on my computer. Seems you may have some setting turned on that automatically logs you out. Some security setting?
Mods, are you out there?

When you go to the web site and you aren't logged in there will be a box in the top right corner with some options. User Name, Password and a check box for Remember Me. Click the check box before you hit enter or log in. If it still doesn't work you are probably clearing your cookies.

Please direct all snow blower questions to the forums and not to me with PMs.
