I know i know Ariens Auto-Turn
So let me start by saying i LOVE LOVE LOVE my 28 SHO and my Ariens Razor so please don't get the idea i'm hating on the unit because im not. But as a lot of people have said, if adjustments and what not are not perfect then it can be very erratic and not work as designed. So in the below hyperlink, you can see that my driveway is paved and in very good condition. The unit when in use wants to turn this way and that and can only track straight once its in the garage on a floor that has nothing on it lol, no snow. So i inflated both tires to 15 PSI, then loosened the skids ALOT so they dropped down, loosed then housing bolts ALOT so there was plenty of play and then followed the rest of the ariens instructions. I'm an IT guy and have installed a lift kit on my Jeep / Wheel Bearings and numerous other car things so i'm pretty good with my hands. I also notice that when even pressure is applied to both handle bars the left begins to go down MUCH sooner and goes down what seems to be a good inch before the right side does, as if either something is loose but it more so seems like the bars are not thick enough of a gauge. My questions are A. Can someone with a Deluxe 28 or even any recent Ariens try pushing down on their bars and see if the left side goes down first. B have i done everything you can think of the fix auto turn?(Called Ariens who says i have and to see if the dealer can look at it) and C. For those who got the Poly Skids, this seems to have solved everyone's issues. Now i'm not getting into the whole i bought a 1200 dollar machine i shouldn't have to get 35 dollar skids debate. If 35 bucks will fix it, then i'm fine with that. Its cheap and will satisfy my issue easier than going to the dealer. Thanks !!

Decided to just pick up Ariens poly skids on the way home. Let me tell you, 2000% difference. Not only does it track straight as an arrow but it's not sensitive at all to imperfections in the pavement from packed snow. This is the way this thing was designed to work. I now officially have 0 complaints what's so ever. Bring on the snow!

Good posts, I also bought the poly shoes with my new Ariens Platinum 24 SHO I have yet to use the new machine with the winter we have been having so far in the NY metro burbs.
I am surprised that Ariens does not just include the poly skids instead of the steel ones, they are generally a customer focused company that heeds their customer's input. I wouldn't be surprised if they changeover to poly skid shoes in the near future, especially on their non-Pro series machines.

Glad it worked out.
I was gonna ask you to measure your tire diameter, to make sure they are the same. One member here had two different tires on his Ariens, and it took the Dealer a while to find that as the problem.
Mute point for this thread, but thought I would throw it out there is if anyone else is having issues and see's this thread down the road.
