finding water droplets on dipstick
I've been noticing some water droplets on the oil dipstick as well as a some sludge near the top of it which I'm sure is from the water. The oil was from last season which I just replace today hope it goes away but how would water get there in the first place?
Well.. water finds its way in. A lot probably came from condonsation from sitting over the summer. Add to that the stady diet of blowing snow, and well... its going to happan. Get it nice and warm before you change the oil, and I bet you get most of it out.
I poured some seafoam into the crankcase started it up for a minute then let it sit a couple hours then started it up again and let it run for 5 min then changed the oil imediatly while hot. I heard and read seafoam gets rid of water so hopefully works.
