Can someone please tell me the difference between these two engines?
Thank you very much for your help. A friend has a rototiller he wants to repower.

I believe the 60363 model is the hemi engine.

I'm pretty much retired from the forum thing, but I check in every now and then.

So are they both hemi heads, or just the 69730 now? I was going by what one of the guys on a karting forum said.

Will it say it ON the box? What do I specifically look for? Will there be a physical difference I can see when I look at the engine?

you will see the picture of the cast valve cover on the box and it will say 3800rpm. the older version will say 3600 rpm and have a picture of a stamped steel valve cover on the box

Joe, The cart guys seem to agree the 60363 model number is for sure a hemi head and comes with a flat top piston to push compression and is the desired model number. The 69730 model can have the better head also if it is a second generation (first was non hemi made by Lifan, second gen was hemi made by Loncin, but with a dished piston top). Apparently the desirable 69730's are DOM after October 2013 and typically have much more environmental stampings/printings on the box. You can push in the handle flap on the box if you find a 60363 model number box and wiggle the engine around to see the valve cover. Find another model number and see the other style valve cover to compare. If you look at most of the gen sets or water pumps on display with the 212cc you can also see the regular valve cover for comparison. Apparently online purchase is a crap shoot even if you order the 60363, you get whatever they send you. HF views them all as 212cc Predators regardless of model number (unless a California model number or shipping address). Our local HF still has the 60363 every time I've gone. Sometimes one out of 6, sometimes 5 or 6 sitting out in parking lot tent sale. The employees have no idea what the difference is, it's a 212cc Predator to them.
