Thumbs up Smileys anyone?

It's been suggested that our choice of smileys off to the right there are getting a bit old, boring and just plain not expressive enough.

If anybody has some they'd like to suggest, keeping them relevant and clean mind you, the admin has said they could add them.

Got some to offer up?

I'm pretty much retired from the forum thing, but I check in every now and then.

This would be nice, if I knew how to get that report image thing off of it.

This one gets used a lot when asking members for pictures of their mowers over on MLF.

yeah, I dont really think we need the "report this image" notification on photos..I have never seen a photo that needs to be reported! and if one should ever appear, forum members are good at reporting things to mods attention..it could be reported the same way spam posts are reported..
any way we could have the "report this image" notice turned off? it is annoying, and it serves no useful purpose..

I will post this in the "likes dislikes" thread, so the admin sees it..

thanks,
Scot

I only ask that we don't get carried away with all the new additions. Go browse around some other forums and you'll see what I mean. I'm tellin' ya. This is one of the very best forums ever and if it ain't broke don't fix it.

I requested to the admin that the:

Dislikes (Given): 0
Dislikes (Received): 0

be removed from under everyones name, since we arent using that feature.
and I asked if the "report image" notice can be removed from photos, since the need to report a photo almost never comes up, and if it ever did, someone could just report the "bad" image just by reporting a post, the same way people do for reporting spam..so that "report image" tag is another bit of "clutter" that could be removed..

and now, lets add new clutter! (sorry Joe!
I agree with you about not going overboard..but I also agree that our current collection of smilies is very limited, and it would be nice to have more..so:

I have a bunch of smilies! I have been collecting them over the years from random places, and adding them to my own web storage so I can add them to posts on any forum, as the need arises..they can be copied and added to this forum..

(continued)

And here is one I made myself! This was made for a discussion on another (now mostly defunct) snowblower forum..someone made a snarky comment about Honda owners and how they love their snowblowers "too much"..and do they hug them everyday? so..I created a "hug your snowblower" smiley! (I will have to make an orange one too now!

thanks,
Scot

facepalm (I think I'd use this in just about every one of my rebuild status updates....for example: installing a crankcase breather upside down )

Well, I'd say that ought to do it! I'll ask the admins to take a look at this thread and pull some out of the bunch.
