Hey guys ! Any generator recommendations ?

Allot of these guys are experts on Predator engines, which they use to repower snow blowers.

I am considering a generator and am considering Harbor Freight generators powered by Predator engines.

I would like recommendations on H.F. and other generators.

So, Hey Guys ! Any generator recommendations ?

Who knew that we have a sister forum for power equipment?

Go up to Forums, Other Forums and there is listed:

Powerequipmentforum.com

And there is a subforum called Generator Forum:

Generator Forum - Power Equipment Forum : Power Equipment Forums

Also, I came across this forum:

http://portablegeneratormaster.com/

This is an interesting thread re real output per receptacle vs rated output (which is actually a doubling of the two receptacles on the generator) and decibels, which the manufacturers also lie about.

Any suggestions for purchasing a Gen? - Page 2 - Power Equipment Forum : Power Equipment Forums

coming from a tech,i would stay away from HF units only as parts are hard to get , i had one for a backup , when it stoped working i could not get parts only a new unit so take some time and do a good research

i'm on a whole house propane 17kw generac , 300 hours only one minor timer problem, generac is owned by B&S since 2008, parts are easy to find which can be very important

I have one of these for my whole house. All of our appliances are Natural Gas so this generator is a little overkill for me. Water heater, clothes dryer, oven/range, boiler are all nat. gas. I'm considering selli g it and getti g a eu3000is. That's all we'd need. Run a few lights, ceiling fans and fridge.

It's not a Honda but the 3500W Predator Inverter is getting good reviews and its only $699 vs $2,000.

Couple 2 together for $1400 plus the parallel cable for 7000w of quiet power and redundancy (JIC). And have enough $ left over to buy a nice 21" mower or snowblower project.

Might be tough to find one at the moment as the east coast could get slammed by Irma BIG TIME!
