Thanks for the comments/suggestions...
At least replacing broken/damaged Craftsman tools is still simple at Sears.

Speaking of closing stores... Back in the 1980's I could drive to 5-6 Kmart stores within 10-15 minutes.
Now there are only 3 in the state (heard on the local news a couple days ago that the only remaining Denver metro area Kmart store is now on the chopping block).

I also like the Flexogen hoses. I had a coupling fail and they did replace the entire thing in short order...no hassles. Good quality hose.

I've also got one of the pure rubber (black) hoses from Sears. Good quality but it's heavy and it tends to in-wind itself from the hose reel and it grabs stuff and knocks things over.

I bought a new nozzle this morning at ace and they gave me a coupon for 50ft Flexzilla hoses for $19.99
Maybe I'll give it a try.

I had a pocket hose once.. it didn't last very long. I wonder if these would be any different.

Picked up a Craftsman 50ft w/ lifetime warranty at Ace this morning.
Looks like they still have some stock of the "good ones".
I should probably buy a few more and store them until I need them in 30yrs.

Hey Russkat,

Thanks for this recommendation!

I found one at my local Ace Hardware, and it looked good, so I bought it. I also had a 25% off coupon that I used for it too, which thrilled my thrifty Scottish heart even more ......

This hose reminds me of the kinds of hoses that my grandparents used to have, (and that was a helluva long time ago!). Rugged connectors, and real rubber.

Oh.....and guess where that remaining "Kinkmaster", inflexible, Harbor Freight hose that I mentioned earlier in the thread is heading in the next 24 hours?

Hint: Tomorrow is our local rubbish pickup day.....

Where did you find the 25% off coupon? A local ad or part of their Ace rewards program?

It was right on the home page of their website. I used the coupon on Sat. and if I recall correctly, yesterday, (Sunday) was the last day it could be used. Really nothing more than dumb luck on my part....lol.

Used it with the power washer yesterday for a couple of hours......seems pretty good. Flexible and strong....

Thanks to your recommendations, I picked up a 100ft reel of the Craftsman hose at ACE the other day. I like it.
