Slippery when frozen

Some times ya just can't win. I have a feeling the photographer was laughing like crazy.

Ugh. I've done that more than once on my drive. No fun at all.

What was he supposed to do with the shovel?????? Maybe he was going do his imitation of George Bailey in the classic movie "Its a Wonderful Life"!

I have to admit, I'd give it a try and I'm no spring chicken!!!

My old driveway was sloped, but my new one is 30 to 35 degrees. Can be fun just wrestling a full trash bin down the driveway when it's dry out.

First shoveling couple of weeks ago I looked a bit like the video that @Kiss4aFrog posted, so I ordered some slip-on cleats. Wow! Game changer, and something I will own from now on. They're the HIGH-PRO model from Winter Walking, and I bought them from a small family-owned business in Pennsylvania. Super nice guy on the phone, and shipping was fast and free. https://www.slipresistant.net/products/high-pro.html

Been using these for years. Good traction, easy on, easy off.

Just remember to take them off before walking on tile/hard surfaces in the house!
