Stihl has had FI for a few years now. It was available on the TS500 Cut Off saw.....Not sure about the Cat, but would not surprise me if it had one at the time. IDK how advanced it was, I just remember it from Stihl School a few years ago. Thanx to Government regulations, it's spreading throughout the OPE World. I did score an Echo HandHeld Blower over the summer, that was carbed but had a cat........ Boy does that get HOT!!!!! Had a bad/dirty carb and lit up that Cat.....guess it was doing it's job. But seems like a poor situation to have a Red Hot Exhaust when blowing dried leaves!!

red hot exhaust while cutting trees won't work well either, yet we all know whats coming on any OPE shortly . ca emission rules esp in the 13 green states that follow ca, rules.

Thank the California Government for that. If their people can't be happy, no one should be happy!

If I can't fix it, I can screw it up so bad that no one else can either!
