Motorcycle jacket

A guy at work is looking for a new jacket to wear while riding his sport bike this upcoming season. Any suggestions for a place with good prices and quality? Thank you!!

I was in Sturgis during the off season a few years ago. The streets were empty and no customers in the apparel shops. I loved the solitude. Any way, I saw many jackets an leather pants for less than $100. A shop employee told me that prices reduce after the raging activities end. I thought that they were fairly decent quality clothing

Everything operated fairly well until I started working on it

If your friend wants a good textile jacket, I've had my Olympia jacket for 10 years and other than some fading, it's going strong. The web site has a dealer locator:

https://olympiamotosports.com/en-US/products/jackets

I ride a Kawasaki H2 SX SE and tend to favor long trips (~3000 miles). The Olympia jacket serves me very well.

I always wore a Highway patrolman's motorcycle jacket . expensive but worth every penny if you want to protect your hide.

On the high end, Aero Leathers and they are out of Scotland, but have an American distributor, Thurston Brothers. There is also an American company out of NYC called Schott Leathers.

Honda HSS928AWD (upgraded chute, transmission)
Honda HS720AS (at sister's)
Honda EU2000i (generator)

rather have broken bones than road rash. went down one time on right side without jacket on and scraped all the skin off my right arm. also had a head injury so they could not put me under to clean all the dirt from arm.

picture the hospital tech pouring ice water on arm while another took a wire brush cleaning a raw arm with no pain killers.

young and dumb. after that ALWAYS wore jacket even on the hottest days. got crap about it one time in a bar in Northern California. I usually ride alone and it was a very hot day and stopped at a bar called the Iron Door Saloon.

2 guys smirked when i walked in to get a cold one and one said "big tough biker wearing his leathers"

Having plenty of experience riding all over the country on my Harley several times , even in the south in the old days with cracks on my long hair , etc......this didn't bother me at all.

I just turned to the guy and asked if he ever rode a bike. He said no. I just said there are two types of motorcycle riders.......those who have been down and those who one day may go down.

BTW , never got in a fight anywhere in any bar (close a couple times ) anywhere in the country. people close to me said it was the way I handled myself . anyway I just think that is mostly Hollywood BS.
