Off Topic - Important re: stupid people

I no longer argue with stupid, foolish, un-knowledgeable people, they have more experience at it than I do.

In the past there have been those times, before I realized, it was making me stupid like them.

Going down the wrong path.

Had a restaurant manager tell me no service outside by the lit fire pit because he didnít want his server to catch I cold from going out in the cold. I told him you realize you can only catch a cold from a virus not the weather. Than I stopped explaining because I knew he knew nothing and offered to get my own beer from the bar

The way I look at life is when you see someone pointing a gun at their foot and they are about to pull the trigger you try to warm them but at some point you need to step back and get out of the way before it's your foot.
I've finally learned that you can discuss anything if you're calm but if you get angry and dig in the other person is likely to do the same and nothing is going to change other than your level of heartburn. Sometimes it's just best to walk away.

Reminds me of the guy in Minnesota a number of years back who was out ice fishing and his full size Bronco/Surburban/ ?? went through the ice. He managed to get out and you'd' think he'd be thankful to be alive and have a little fear of the ice. Nope he went home and got his Ranger and was going to somehow try to pull the other truck out. Yup, not kidding he sank the Ranger too and still lived to be on the news.
Hope he was single because if he's married I'm sure she's still throwing that one in his face.

Yeah Kiss, civility really does go a long way when discussing things. I know that I am constantly trying to get better at not making the issue a "I'm right and you're wrong" discussion. Partially because that usually ends the usefulness of the discussion, but mostly because there are often no true right or wrong answers, just different viewpoints.

Now get off of my lawn !!!!
