I agree on the snow.
The ice they got down south just recently is another matter.
The school closings(cold) around here have been crazy this year I grew up in the same area and we had one school closing K-12 and we walked to school, Now its too dangerous (cold) for the kiddies to stand on the corner and wait for the bus.

Our company has another facility in FL. I get a kick out of tell them that I fiddle with vintage snow blowers. The concept cannot be any more foreign to them.

Coming from Minnesota getting buried in snow was a given. I was stationed for a while in Kansas City and it snowed some and they called a "snow day". For us it was just another way to say PARTY !! As stated above I'm from the walk to school up hill both ways in the freezing cold generation. Went to a private school where the teachers lived on the same block with the school so it never closed since they could always get there. There just wasn't any snow days even if the public schools closed and they were rare.

But I have to say I'll take 16" of MN snow any day over the freezing slush/icy drizzle/hail rain that came down in KC.

.
Make sure the windows are up before the snow plow goes by !!
