The scary part, is how many folks travelled underneath it without realizing how perilous it was. Scarier yet, this was the South bound lane. The North bound portion is still up.....

Garage:
MTD....2 stage(modern 8.5 HP) not my favorite
Honda HS622 TA-B - acquired at an auction- nice machine for it's size.
Toro S-140- Picked it up on trash day... it runs, sort of.
Yamaha YS 240 TB "Ricky" latest Craigslist find- on the bench now.

me and the wing hardly ever see 85mph, I got a wing to slow down some. I had a sport bike before screwing up my neck 85mph was good for the slow lane normal cruising was 135mph
years ago I use to work with a guy name dave Kelly. one morning he didn't show up for work and for some strange reason everyone was worried about him. we had the boss call his house but his wife said he had left for work. about three hours later dave makes it to work, he had been at the hostpital because a bridge collapsed on his car about three miles from the job. totaled his car but he was alright

Wow, you know I may live in the middle of cornfield Ohio, but at least I don't have to worry about this stuff on a daily basis. The occasional slow rolling tractor or combine, maybe, but not roads falling from the sky.

A while back I remember a TV show about America's crumbling infrastructure. It came out the year after the bridge in Minnesota collapsed.

I have some theories on that one. but I will not talk about them here. it was the I-35w bridge.

Michigan spends less on roads than probably any other state, gets less back from the feds for roads than about any other state. the tax on gasoline just goes in the general fund and now the gov wants to raise the sales tax, he sez to fix the roads, fund the schools but the money is just going in the general fund to be used for what ever. the only thing good is we get to vote on the tax increase. don't know what went wrong down in cincy but here in Michigan it is a lack of funding

Oh it's the same in the big metropolis of Cincy. The mayors and governors on both sides of the border are trying to get the Feds to pay for a replacement bridge across the Ohio, as we speak. The price tag.... $2.6-$2.7 billion for one bridge.

I am just thankful that I am outside of that mess.
