Paddock Build

Over the last few years it's become evident that I had out grown my garden shed workshop. I own a 1890's home and I don't have a garage or workshop. I decided over the course of the winter to upgrade my outdoor work space. Here's how it progressed.

I tore down the two above sheds, they were beat up leaking, rotten decks.

After grading and leveling the area with 4 yards of gravel. I started to build the deck frame out of 2x6's. It's the "new" brown pressure treated.

I insulated the floor with 1/2 foam vapour barrier insulation, used 5/8 deck boards and finished it with three coats of Sikken's Dek Finish 078 Natural

I purchased a 10x20 board and baton Mennonite shed, that had to be delivered in a knockdown kit and assembled. All this to fit under my carport.

This was the truck delivering it underneath the carport.

The Kit was well done, just the twenty foot walls were extremely heavy to move around, was a good thing I had a lot of cold beer for my buddies.

I'm still not done, I have all the batons to install and then stain the outside, I have stained and finished the interior walls with Sikkens Cetol1 o78 natural, but I haven't moved my tools, equipment etc into the shed yet.

A look at the interior stain job bellow:

Oh, the customization to this project has only begun. I see shelving, benches, drawers, radio, heat, maybe AC, 120v, bug light, cable, comfy chair that is no longer acceptable by the wife to have in the big house. Yeah, a clean slate man cave, is truly a beautiful thing. And the worst part of this, you have us here suggesting the next level of awesomeness.

Garage:
MTD....2 stage(modern 8.5 HP) not my favorite
Honda HS622 TA-B - acquired at an auction- nice machine for it's size.
Toro S-140- Picked it up on trash day... it runs, sort of.
Yamaha YS 240 TB "Ricky" latest Craigslist find- on the bench now.

Great looking shed. Yeah, you need any suggestions for finishing the interior, we'll be happy give you some.

I'm pretty much retired from the forum thing, but I check in every now and then.
