Thumbs up Attention All Military Members !!

Shouting out to ALL military members of the forum to post up your:
- Branch of Service
- Years of Service (IE. 1985-2006 or "I did 21 years in..."
- Rank (if you wish)
- MOS (or if you had more than one)
- Maybe a favorite duty station or memory of your time in the Service

And when I mean ALL military members this means amyone:
- On Active Duty now
- Veterans
- Retired
- Etc (more or less meaning anyone who ever raised their right hand and took the oath!)

Seen these on a number of Forums I am on presently and they are always fun to meet those whom you never knew were in the Armed Forces. Even found forum members who happened to be in the same units, same duty stations, and knew some of the same people from wayyyyy back in the day too! I didnt see anything like this here so figured it was good to go?

**Not sure if this is ok with the Administration or not, but this even gave those participating vendors an opportunity to state if they offer any sort of "Military Discounts" or not from their respective Companies? If not ok, I will amend this portion, but recognizing those who served by providing any type of military discount is always a gracious privilege! Obviously it's not a "right" for those who wore the uniform, nor mandated "requirement" for any vendor whatsoever. Many thanks to those who do!

As we approach this Memorial Day I just thought I'd post this thread to have fun, and remember all those who gave their lives for our freedoms!

Here's to looking forward to a brutal winter full of all types of SNOW!

Semper Fidelis,

Gunny Fitz

I was enlisted aircrew on a P-3 Orion four-engine sub-hunter patrol aircraft, based in Jacksonville, FL and New Orleans, LA. We tracked Soviet Union nuclear missile submarines by listening to them using microphone-equipped buoys dropped from the aircraft. The Russian subs would cruise along the eastern seaboard and transit via the North Atlantic. It was awesome, as we "trained" by flying actual missions against them, doing everything we'd do in a time of conflict except actually dropping a torpedo.

'93-'97 US Army, 19K20(armor crew member)- Fort Riley, KS- Big Red One
'97-'03 OANG, 19K20(armor crew member)- Lebanon, OH- Cyclone division

Got out to have a family. The field is not a place to have a family, or at least from what I saw. Got to go to places that I probably would not have gone on my own, Fort Irwin(Death Valley), Fort Polk (Louisiana), Camp Ripley (Minnesota), Camp Attebury(Indiana)Camp Perry (Ohio) Camp Grayling(Michigan), and some random abandoned Nike radar sites that were being used as motor pools by the OANG.

MTD....2 stage(modern 8.5 HP) not my favorite
Honda HS622 TA-B - acquired at an auction- nice machine for it's size.
Toro S-140- Picked it up on trash day... it runs, sort of.
Yamaha YS 240 TB "Ricky" latest Craigslist find- on the bench now.
