1930's Winter Comes to Michigan

It takes a few minutes to get to the snow removal
portion but its a neat blast from the past.

Pretty cool seeing those big snowblowers from back then ! In the late 30's less than 100 miles NE of me they just fought the snow with brute force lol.

Boy, have things improved?

I do have to say, the county and state both do a darn good job up here around us anyway.

I'm pretty much retired from the forum thing, but I check in every now and then.

Pretty neat stuff... lol at the feller standing on the back of the dump truck feeding the 'automated' sander... imagine that today and without a hi-vis vest on too...

My uncle worked for the town DPW, drove plow in winter... this woulda been late 60's~early 70's; he'd swing by the house and hit the street real good then come on in for a hot cuppa jo. In my five year-old eyes that was some real B.A. right thar.
