Looking for Bucket housing -MTD

Looking for a used Bucket housing for a 8-26 MTD.

I believe the P/N is 684-0052C or some version of that in Cub Cadet and other MTD brands.

PM me if you think you have something. Thanks.

GEvening T, I Googled that part number to see if I had one, but it comes up as a 22" tub. Any other part numbers?? Model numbers?? Where are you located??

Thanx, Jay

PartsTree has this one for a 26" Cub Cadet; but it comes up as Cub Cadet 684-04071-0606:

White Outdoor 31AH6GLF790 (SB-626) - White Outdoor Snow Thrower (2007) Auger & Auger Housing Diagram and Parts List | PartsTree.com

It's Part #27 on this schematic . . . . for the princely sum of $252.77

This is the 8-26 machine I am talking about. The housing is Item 5 on the blower housing assembly in the link below. It is shown as no longer available.

https://www.jackssmallengines.com/ja...wer-housing-26

It does come up as a 22" housing. So does the auger assembly. That may be deceptive/confusing choice of a description or just a typo.

The part you show above may be interchangeable but I don't know. In any event, it makes no sense for me to pay that price.

Still looking.....This is the vintage with 3 bolts on the auger shaft bearings. the newer design uses 2 bolts.

I may be interested in that 26" housing if you still have access to it.

Just FYI, the "0606" at the end of the part number is a color code. Any "684-04071-xxxx" should be the same part, just a different color. Here's the color chart: http://service.mtdproducts.com/image...art%202010.pdf

Justcoz that is a nice document to have. Thanks.

I did some more research and I am confident the core part number 6840040D-
It is from 1997 to 2004 MTD 26" wide models.

Here is a link to a picture of it in Red, the color I would prefer.

I am in North Eastern tip of MA. If you are close by and have one PM me. Thanks!
