Wanted - handle lever, any make, see picture

I need a handle lever similar to the picture below. Notice the side piece with the hole. The one shown is on a customer's Simplicity. I want to use it on my John Deere 1032. Currently I have to pull up on the handle that is on the JD. I want to push down on it as most snowblower have as it's less tiring. I can't use my existing handle lever to accomplish this as it won't work flipped.

The handle should be curved to fit inside the round handles.

If you can't find what you're looking for, maybe cut a section of pipe in half lengthwise on a bandsaw and weld on a little plate or bar to make the parts where the cables attach. It'll be a little crude looking unless you spend some time on it, but it should work.

If I were you, I'd cut off both "ears" on the handle you have, switch them to the opposite side of their original position them and have them re-welded…

IIRC I found a handle off a Simplicity that had the tab on the other side, though it's been a few years since I did it. Another idea would be to get a handle like that one and weld a tab on the other side.

I have 2 handles from an Ariens ST824 924050 parts machine. I'm willing to let one of them go. Just don't ask for a kidney.

Was a solution found? I have the 826 and concur about the position of the wheel clutch lever and engaging the drive. It does strain the left hand.

Solving this issue is a priority now.

Anyone use the Ariens ST824 right hand clutch handle for right side of JD?

Homesteader is sending me one. I will let you know how it works out standing still as we are not getting any snow here this year!

Cool. Thanks for the response and help.

Same here on the snow in Northeastern Ohio. Only 2 snow falls so far, but trying to be prepared. Forecast says snow this Saturday.

Got the new friction disc, belts, and broken in predator 212cc installed. And fixing the drive clutch handle is next project. Then Next taller chute and impeller paddles.
