John Deere 826 parts needed

I have an older JD 826. I was trying to get one of the augers off the shaft to replace the seals in the gear box, and I bent the auger and shaft. Tried heat and a press and could not get it apart. I am looking for either a machine with a bad motor or the auger assembly.

Hd, I had an 826 and let it go after a complete refurb just because of the parts situation. I couldn't locate a decent parts machine after about a 2 year search and got fed up. If your local Deere dealers are anything like mine, they won't even have anyone as old as the machine working there
Joe makes a good point if yours is a "D" model, you may be lucky. These were Ariens products and you have a virtual lifetime supply of parts. If it's the old style, true JD product like this, you'll run into a great schematic on JD parts, but "NLA" printed after all the parts numbers. Craigslist is basically your only help to find a useable parts machine.
Edit, If you're really stuck, the auger shaft is only a shaft of 1" steel with center cut slot for a key, and threaded holes in the ends. Could be replicated by any metal shop in 5 minutes at a cost, I'm sure.....but could be done. Cut the offending auger lengthwise with a grinder and work it off, reweld the slit. Take all the rest of the components off the straight side so as not to damage them (like cut off the bent axle at the bend. If it's stuck bad enough to bend a 1" piece of steel, parts machine is likely in order).
