Ariens ST1032, 1024, #02437500 worm shaft

I'm looking to buy one of these shafts in good-used or NOS condition, for my ST1024 SHO. Machine is probably not worth the $110 plus shipping for a new one, since I already have too much into it....It was going to be scrapped but I just couldn't let that happen! Just trying to get the old girl running for myself; not in the business. Bill 508 seven three seven nine five seven two. Thanks.

SHO is a relative new term that just came out over the last couple years.

For parts I would send Jackmels a PM. He has a high volume of old Ariens come and go and has done some shipping for members of this forum.

Your other option is to keep an eye on craigslist and look for a used machine with a blown engine going for dirt cheap. Might have to wait until closer to winter to get a good deal though.

Please direct all snow blower questions to the forums and not to me with PMs.

Thanks....I will do that. I have been looking on CL.....I actually got a whole front end yesterday because I needed the gear box, too. It's just that the input shaft and blower are wrong.

It intrigued me because of the great hp-to-cutting width ratio. It also has a 14" blower like a 1032. I think it has potential to be one of my favorites.

How DO you guys figure out the year of a machine? This one is a 924106, #000185.

Thanks for the reply!

Bill

I have one that's attached to a 14" impeller if interested.
