Garage
Yup, auger, gear and impeller. Have you tried Ebay yet ??

Did you need the actual augers too or just the shaft ??

You might be able to get a whole machine on your local craigslist for the price it would cost. Also recover your money with the balance of the parts you have left. Sometimes you get lucky and find one with a blown motor on the cheap.

Unfortunately, the gear box is the weak link on this model. The remainder of the unit is a Sherman tank. MH

My augers and shear pins are rusted on the shaft. The auger gear is leaking. I know I am not going to be able to remove them without any damage. I am just planning the worst. If I can find a whole thing that will be the best. Really don't want to mess with the gears.

If I can find the same machine locally that will be great too. So far no luck.

The ideal solution is to get those augers removed so your shear pins will work. If you need to use the machine before you get it fixed you could refill the gearcase with '00' grease instead of gear oil. The grease is thicker than gear oil but thinner than actual chassis grease so it should lube things up well without running out. That is what a lot of the "sealed" units use as well as some lawn tractor transmissions.

Please direct all snow blower questions to the forums and not to me with PMs.
