I've just replaced the belts on my 1997 926TE, However the drive belt is very slack around the idler pulley and it won't drive the friction plate. I suspect that there should be a tension spring somewhere to pull the pulley into place and tension the belt but I cannot locate it or where it should fit. I bought the blower 2 winters ago without an operators manual so any tips will be appreciated.

Thanks for the diagram it helped solve the problem. I had routed the drive belt incorrectly round the idler pulley (rookie mistake!). Once I had routed it correctly it worked perfectly.
