Today I used my newly acquired 24" SHO. My first impression is good, though I have nothing to compare to. This snow fall was about 4 inches of heavy wet snow. It did not get bogged down, but the throwing distance was not impressive.

I was not impressed with the choke diagram. Very difficult to figure out.

Overall, it is a nice machine that started when I needed it. I'm looking forward to putting it to use more the rest of the season.

if you read what it says about the throwing distance of any machine they all seem to say up to ?? feet, key word is up to and wet heavy snow gets thrown the shortest distance so don't be disappointed. I think the sho 24 is a fine machine and if I were to buy a new machine right now it would be #1 one my list

The diagram is poor , but righty tighty ( closed ) lefty loosey ( open ) ;)
I like the clicks inbetween full and open. One click left after it starts for a few seconds and just turn it the rest of the way left after that
